Growing up getting my hair braided was a part of a weekly routine for me & my older sister. I believe I was about 12 years old when my mom decided to stop doing our hair which forced me to start braiding my own hair. Constant practice on myself, my sister and little cousin, helped me sharpen my braiding skills and play towards my strengths. Eventually I began to attract attention and started braiding hair for students at my school but that was only the beginning. I attended The Fort Valley State University in Fort Valley, GA, where I created “Be Okay Braids”.
On this road of entrepreneurship, it has not been easy but joining forces with Tic Tac Toe Hair Lounge did soften the blow. I am truly excited to be valuable part of the Tic Tac Toe Hair Lounge family and I even more excite to share my gift while making others beautiful in the process.
I have been in the beauty industry for about 7 years now. Two things that are most rewarding to me in the Industry are making people look, and feel good about themselves. I enjoy a good challenge whether it's a great haircut or a fabulous hair color makeover. The best compliment is someone else complimenting my work. I also attend regular training classes to keep up with the latest trends that everyone wants. I look forward to seeing you and using my skills to make you look and feel good.
My name is Kojana, Co -Jane - ah now say it fast, but people call me Koko because it’s easier. I’m originally from New Orleans, Louisiana and moved to Texas because of Katrina. I have been braiding hair since I was about 14. I started braiding my own hair and when I got confident enough after practicing on my little sister for a minute, I started with other people. I love braiding kids hair because I love the reactions that kids give, although they may cut up, AloT, the smile on their face at the end is amazing. So since I love doing kid’s hair, their parents love me because of my patience, and I try my hardest to make sure that I don’t hurt them but it’s braids. I have know Lanira for about four or five years and have watched her go after her dreams of owning Tic Tac Toe Hair Lounge. Her tenacity, determination, and dedication to making her dreams come true and the way she is always willing to teach and better others, and she loves the LORD like I do, so I really couldn’t see myself anywhere else.
My name is Ja’Nika many of my clients know me as J Love. I moved to Texas from Madison, Illinois about 4 years ago to transition into a new career. Being recently separated from the U.S Air Force, I needed a change. I’ve always had a passion for hair since I was a little girl! I loved doing my close family members hair, and loved getting my hair done. I watched and learned from my mother, hoping one day I’d be just as great as her. I am here for all of your hair care needs specializing in healthy natural hair. I’d love the opportunity to transform you and recreate your outlook on the beauty industry.
